Services means the LostAndFound.com website, mobile applications, Venue Pages, Venue Administration Pages, employee interfaces, APIs, communications, software, and related services offered by LostAndFound.com.

User means any individual or entity that accesses or uses the Services.

Venue means any business, organization, educational institution, government agency, transportation provider, event organizer, property manager, or other entity that uses the Services to manage lost and found property.

Venue Administrator means the individual authorized by a Venue to administer the Venue's account and manage access to the Services.

In some situations, you may browse portions of the Services without creating an Account. However, many features require you to provide certain information so that we can identify users, facilitate the return of lost property, prevent fraud, communicate with participants, process transactions, and operate the Services.

  • mailing address;
  • username;
  • encrypted password credentials; and
  • other information necessary to establish and administer your Account.

  • delivery addresses;

LostAndFound.com uses identity verification services provided by Plaid Inc. ("Plaid"). When you initiate identity verification, certain information may be collected directly by Plaid and processed on LostAndFound.com's behalf.

Depending on the verification process used, Plaid may collect information including:

  • name;
  • date of birth;
  • address information;
  • telephone number;
  • email address;
  • government-issued identification information;
  • photographs of identification documents;
  • photographs or video images of you;
  • device and technical information;
  • fraud prevention information;
  • information used for identity verification and liveness detection; and

Plaid uses this information to perform identity verification, authenticate users, prevent fraud, maintain security, and provide verification services.

LostAndFound.com generally receives only verification results, verification status information, risk indicators, and other limited information necessary to administer the Services. LostAndFound.com does not ordinarily receive or store copies of government-issued identification documents, selfie images, facial geometry information, biometric templates, or other biometric information collected during the verification process.

Plaid's collection, use, retention, and disclosure of information is governed by Plaid's own privacy practices and policies. Additional information regarding Plaid's handling of personal information is available in Plaid's Privacy Policy and applicable identity verification disclosures.

By completing identity verification through the Services, you acknowledge that certain information will be collected and processed by Plaid for the purposes described above.

Venues are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate authority to provide information to LostAndFound.com.

  • payment processing;
  • communications;
  • analytics;
  • security;

C. Venues and Authorized Organizations

If you interact with a Venue through LostAndFound.com, we may share information with that Venue as necessary to provide the Services.

  • property reports submitted to the Venue;
  • Claim information;

  • information necessary to manage the Venue's lost and found operations.

Venues may have their own privacy practices and policies. LostAndFound.com is not responsible for the privacy practices of independent Venues.

D. Service Providers

  • cloud hosting providers;
